Flood plain meadow lives up to its name

Flooded landscape with leafless trees and water covering the ground. Bare branches are visible in the foreground, and the sky is overcast, creating a gloomy atmosphere.

After the incredible storms of the last couple of days it’s been impossible to tell the Great Meadow from the Bishop’s Pond. Around noon today as the river reached high tide it was amazing to watch the speed at which the water filled the meadow highlighting some of the old river courses not normally visible in the grass.

The speed and force of the water pouring out from the Bishops Pond into the stream along our ha ha was incredible, and to think this is about 5 foot deep as well!
