We are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Wilson as our Project Development Officer with responsibility for the ongoing development of our Heritage Lottery Fund supported restoration project.
In his 29 years working in the cultural sector all across Wales he has been responsible for the management, creation, preservation and redevelopment of a range of listed and scheduled buildings, heritage sites and services, museums and art galleries and has extensive experience of commissioning and programming the visual, applied and performing arts. He has represented the profession at a national level and helped run ‘Conservation Matters in Wales’ for many years.
Since 2007 he has acted as Director of Visual & Applied Arts for the Welsh Delegation at the Interceltique Festival Lorient, Brittany and he is a National Advisor for the Arts Council of Wales.
His connection with the Bishop’s Park goes back many years as in the 1980’s he worked as Education Project Officer for Carmarthen Museum before moving on to run and develop his own museums.
